Just got back from Langka Heart, let me share my honest thoughts!

Nestled in Kangding, Western Sichuan, Langka Heart is a mountain perfect for independent hiking and climbing.
The round-trip hike covers 7 kilometers, with an elevation gain of around 800 meters.
But don't be fooled by the short distance—it's way tougher than it sounds!
Winter climbs, in particular, are brutally cold. The wind cuts so sharply that it numbs your skin.
At high altitudes, you'll have to pause for a break after every few steps.
The trail is scattered with loose gravel, so every step requires extra caution.
That's when I truly appreciated my warm and breathable gear.
For high-altitude treks and mountain climbs, warmth is a must—but breathability matters just as much.
If sweat gets trapped against your skin in the mountains, the risk of hypothermia spikes dramatically.
Here are my go-to gear recommendations from this trip:
EX2's Merino wool beanie and high-warmth ski gloves.
They're not only toasty warm but also highly breathable—I finished the entire hike without a hint of clammy sweat.
Besides these warm accessories, don't forget to pack a pair of crampons and trekking poles!
